About the speaker:
James Halstead currently heads up the Translation Department of Dals (formally DA Languages), one of the UK’s fastest growing LSPs, and sits on the Council of the Association of Translation Companies. Prior to joining Dals he was General Manager of IMD Translation, and previously also headed up the China office of thebigword. He is a Chinese>English translator, holding Chartered Linguist status with the Chartered Institute of Linguists, and before venturing into the translation and localisation sector James served in the UK Government’s FCO China Network at both the British Consulate General in Shanghai and the British Embassy in Beijing. He is also a bit of a chocoholic and loves 80s music.
